Everyone Can Create
The applications I learned about in the “Everyone Can Create” will be used over and over again during my career as well as in my personal life. The iBooks are user friendly, comprehensive, and well illustrated. Special instructions are provided for video, music, photography, and drawing. I used the clips app in the video lesson. I make videos on Educreations, iMovie, and iPhone often. Clips is will be a great addition to my toolbox. This app provides a superior collection of royalty free theme music, an advantage over iMovie. Also, you can speak as you record and it translates into text directly on the video. Adjusting zoom, focus, and other elements is as easy as the pinch or slide of a couple fingers. Blending scenes is not as professional-looking as iMovie, but clean enough to create fun videos. My project saved directly to my camera roll and I easily uploaded it to my YouTube account.
This instructional book will definitely be utilized in my future classroom. Students will incorporate technology with any type of lesson, but I can see an infinite number of options for secondary mathematics. I0 plan to explore the drawing with a few plans specifically. One project I am considering will revolve around practical applications of mathematics in our everyday life. Students will use one of the four processes to complete a project that highlights their interests and how math is necessary to achieve their goals. For example, musicians may want to use Garageband and produce their own song. Math and algorithms are critical in music production as well as a balanced composition pattern. Students how enjoy drawing will have an outlet as well. Others, like me, enjoy capturing the world in video. I like to show others what I see. This is just one idea of how I can apply what I learned in this section.
I recommend “Everyone Can Create” to, well, EVERYONE. Educators will find it particularly useful, but so will a Girl Scout Leader or a grandmother putting together a memory project. In short, this instructional series can provide practical training for users of any level.
